Bridging All Creatives
Chapter One · San Francisco
An intimate evening celebrating the builders behind the brands. Velle's first San Francisco edition brought together creators and founders for candid conversations with two remarkable guests — Anna Smith Malepeai, Co-Founder of Victra Sports, and Jasmine Wong, cybersecurity engineer and tech content creator.
Anna shared what it really means to build with intention — why slowing down, staying aligned with your audience, and being thoughtful in every decision isn't a luxury, it's the work.
Jasmine brought a perspective every creator needs to hear: be intentional about the brands you partner with. Not every opportunity is worth the trade-off. Vetting who you work with is part of protecting your brand long-term.
And Grace Ling, founder of Design Buddies and content creator known for helping people shift away from the 9 to 5 to scale their own communities and audiences, had one piece of advice that stuck with the whole room. When you are building a community, you basically have to start a cult.
The kind of conversations that don't happen anywhere else. This is what Velle is built for.
Key takeaway: Real collaborations came out of the very first Velle event, proof that the right room works from day one. A room that people had been waiting for and were able to openly talk about their side hustles.
